It has been ten years since Sylvain and Pierre started hiding with their father on the roads of France, shortly after their parents’ divorce and the legal decision that forced Yves into clandestinity. But the children have grown, and this endless run has deprived them of the dreams and joys of their age. When the net is closing and time has come to flee again, Pierre, the eldest, disappears.
Born in 1979, Jean Denizot is a studio manager on Catherine Klein’s short film Another man (Un autre homme) after studying Cinema Studies at university, and becoming assistant director on Arnaud Simon’s short film A truck in repair (Un camion en réparation). In 2006, he directs his first short film, Fly (Mouche), selected for several film festivals, then three years later he directs I remember (Je me souviens). Beautiful Life (La Belle Vie) is his first full-length feature film. Besides, he plays in The Idiot (L’Idiot) by Pierre Léon (2008) and in Portrait of a Lover (Portrait d’un amoureux) by Aurélien Deschamps (2011).
