Jack Arnold
Born in Connecticut in 1916, Jack Arnold starts producing science fiction movies from 1950, after his debut as a Broadway comedian, then as a documentary maker for the American army during the Second World War. His B movies soon become cult films : It Came from Outer Space (1953), The Creature from the Black Lagoon (1954) and its sequel, Revenge of the Creature (1955), Tarantula (1955) and The Incredible Shrinking Man (1957), based on a novel by Richard Matheson.
