9 year-old Manuel and his friend Julián live in a mountainous region of the Columbian countryside. One day, as they are playing football, the ball is kicked away and lands on a mine field. They try to get their precious ball back by any way they can but eventually have to resign themselves to the harsh reality of the situation.

A story told from child’s perspective which is astutely woven into the context of contemporary Columbia.

Carlos César Arbeláez
Carlos César Arbeláez comes from Antioquia (Columbia). He studied cinema at the School of San Antonio de los Baños (Cuba) and at the National School for Cinematographic Experimentation and Direction in Argentina. He has written and directed several documentary films for television. His documentary film Negro Profundo - Historias de Mineros received a special honorary prize at Bogota Film Festival. Los Colores de la Montaña is his first feature length fiction film.
