Inhabited by Monsters, Monstropolis is a small town powered mainly by children’s screams. The Monsters, Inc. factory collects them via Scarers, a monster elite who ventures in the human world to scare children in their sleep. One day, Boo, a young girl, comes face to face with Sulley, the top Scarer in Monstropolis.

Pete Docter
After his debut with Disney, Pete Docter arrives at Pixar in 1990. Story-boarder and co-scriptwriter for Toy Story (1995), story-boarder for A Bug’s Life (1998), he becomes animation supervisor and co-writes Toy Story 2 (1999). He then moves on to co-direction with Monsters, Inc. (2001) and Up (2009).

David Silverman
David Silverman, a Los Angeles UCLA graduate, works as an animator for ten years and realises seventeen episodes of the American TV series The Simpsons. After joining Pixar in 1998, he co-directs Monsters, Inc. (2001) and adapts The Simpsons for the big screen in 2007.

Lee Unkrich
After his debuts in fiction, Lee Unkrich joins Pixar in 1994. He works as an editor on Toy Story (1995) and Bug’s Life (1998). Co-producer and editor of Toy Story 2 (1999), he co-directs Monsters, Inc. (2001), Finding Nemo (2003) and directs Toy Story 3 on his own in 2010.
