Sebbe, aged 15, lives with his mother in a small apartment. At school he is bullied by his classmates and at home, he barely sees his mother who works night shifts. Their relationship is complicated, alternating between tenderness and conflict. He enjoys being alone and collects assorted plastic and metal which he assembles to create extraordinary objects.

Babak Najafi
Born in 1975 in Karami (Iran), Babak Najafi studied at the School of Cinema, Radio, Television and Theatre in Stockholm from 1998 until 2002. He has since directed several short documentary and fiction films. Sebbe is his first feature-length fiction film and received the Best First Feature Award at the 2010 Berlinale.
