Ricky has a dream : turn the Staff Benda Bilili into the best orchestra in Congo. Roger, a kid who grew up on the streets of Kinshasa, has only one wish : join those ghetto stars who are all over town in their customised wheelchairs.

Renaud Barret et Florent de La Tullaye

Born in 1970 in Neuilly-sur-Seine, Renaud Barret begins his career as a graphic designer. Florent de la Tullaye, born in 1971 in Latronche, begins his career as a photographer. Together, they take an interest in urban cultures in African capitals and co-direct documentary movies : Jupiter’s Dance in 2004, Victoire terminus, Kinshasa in 2008 and Benda Bilili ! In 2010. Concurrently, the two filmmakers produce some of the musicians they meet in order to unveil new talents and develop partnership with African producers.
