In a small village in the Turkish mountains, three blind bards tell the story of an old woman, Berfé, and her granddaughter, Jiyan. They begin a long journey on foot to try and free the latter’s father, Temo, after he was arrested by the Turkish army.

Hüseyin Karabey

Hüseyin Karabey was born in 1970 in Istanbul. In 2001, he gratuated from Marmara University with a diploma in cinema and television. After several short films including Boran (1999) and a documentary film, Silent Death (Sessiz ölüm, 2001), this filmmaker – who is interested in the Kurdish issue – directed his first fictional film in 2008, Gitmek : My Marlon and Brando. It was rewarded in various festivals. In 2011, he co-directed the collective film Do not Forget Istanbul, then he made F tipi film (2012). His first feature film, Come to my Voice, was selected at the Berlin Festival, in the Generation section.
