Two Romani childs are taken in by a young trapeze artist in a tent settled in Saint-Ouen, in Paris suburbs. A fragile haven of peace for this 13 year-old brother and 10 year-old sister, torn between the new destiny that awaits them and their parents living in the street.

Ioanis Nuguet

Ioanis Nuguet was born in 1983 in Sainte Colombe to a family of dancers. He discovered cinema by himself. In 2010, he directed Exposé à disparaître, his first feature film. Following President Sarkozy’s speech on immigration and the dismantling of half of the Romani camps, Ioannis Nuguet decided to make his first feature film about this community. Spartacus & Cassandra was programmed at the ACID of the Cannes Festival in 2014. Moreover, he also works as a chief editor and a cinematographer.
