THE CAVE OF THE YELLOW DOG
Byambasuren Davaa / Mongolia, Germany / 2005 / 1h 33m
In a nomadic family of northern Mongolia, six-year-old Nansal finds a dog in a cave and brings it home. She wants to keep it, but her father, superstitious, won’t let her. He believes it will bring them bad luck and pushes his daughter to get rid of it.
Inspired by a Mongolian tale, this wonderful film pays homage to an ancestral civilisation that is slowly disappearing.
