At the Dakar Bus Station, a taxi prepares to leave for Saint Louis. On board are Souki, Malick, Madame Barry, Joséphine and Binette. One passenger is missing : Antoine, a French student who just missed them.
Born in 1975 in Paris, the French-Senegalese Dyana Gaye graduates with a master’s degree in Cinema at Paris 8. In 1999, she recieves the Louis Lumière – Villa Medici Hors les murs scholarship for her scriptwriting in Une femme pour Souleymane. In parallel, she is a programmer for the ACID festival. She receives two nominations for the short film Césars with Deweneti (2006) and Saint Louis Blues (2009). Both film are also shown at several film festivals. In 2013, she directs her first feature film, Under the Starry Sky, winning the Jury’s Grand Prix and the Audience Award in Angers. In 2014, she collaborates with Talents Adami Cannes for the short film Un Conte de la goutte d’or.
